A day trip to the Croatian Istria peninsula, visiting the City of Rovinj, a gem of the Venetian architecture.
After a stroll through the cobblestone streets you will have some time off for enjoying coffee, Shopping or even swimming in the deep blue sea. Afternoon we head for Motovun, truffles region. A drive through valleys and hills of the Istrian territory will leave you breathless. We shall visit a truffle hunter’s house that has 40-years experience in the truffle business where you will see specially trained dogs. After an aperitif, we will go to the forest to experience the adventure of the truffle hunt. After the activity of searching the truffles for about 45 minutes, you will learn how to prepare a meal with truffles. Our friendly hosts will serve you local wine, cheese and truffle flavoured honey, pate and other truffle delicacies which you can also buy at the estate. After being totally truffled we head back to Zagreb, some 3 hours drive.
